Congratulations to all our Great South Runners

On Sunday 30th October, in support of the Care Professionals Benevolent Fund, staff and friends of Milkwood Care took part in the Bupa-sponsored Great South Run.

The gruelling ten mile run had a mixture of fun runners, casual runners and professional runners totalling over 25,000. Regardless of how competitive some runners took it, the main reason for the run was to raise money for charity.

Hannah Wilson recorded a wonderful 69 minutes 14 seconds coming in as 17th fastest woman. Not bad just 4 months after having a baby!

Milkwood Care had 5 runners out on the day, and hope to have raised in excess of £700 between them. Tom Cheesman (Hannah’s brother) also ran in the race, and is running the Lisbon Marathon in December for CPBF and another charity.
